New Construction – Tahoe Vista, CA
Design Project – This custom mountain home was designed to save a 60″ diameter old-growth cedar tree centrally located on the property. High levels of daylight flood the home with natural light and highlight the knotty pine carpentry throughout. Outside, the home is grounded to its surroundings with the locally-harvested Sierra antique stone water table while the roof steps back, opening up the landscape. Large timbers and corbels enhance the main entrance, while inviting you in to enjoy the craftsmanship of the open log staircase and cozy gas fireplace.
